Getting flatpak with flathub verified_floss running

I was wanting to try the latest Falkon web browser, but it seems the only way to get the latest version is to install via flatpak or to build Falkon and its underlying qtwebkit (or whatever) engine manually. So I decided to install flatpak and set up the "verified_floss" section of flathub like Magic Banana instructed us in 2023 in this post: https://trisquel.info/en/forum/why-does-trisquel-offer-flatpak-package-its-repos#comment-173427
flatpak remote-add --subset=floss flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

But I found that command was resulting in an error, so after a bit of searching and trial and error I found that the following command now works to add the verified_floss section of flathub for me:
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists --subset=verified_floss flathub-verified_floss https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

Not sure why that command seems to have changed or what the changes refer to, but it seems to work for me now and I figured I would post it here for my future self to refer back to or in case it benefits anyone else.

I think that it's problematic to have this here in a forum for the general public since it recommends a repository (flathub in general) that doesn't have written commitment to follow the GNU Free System Distribution Guidelines (GNU FSDG), see: https://www.gnu.org/distros/free-system-distribution-guidelines.html .

If this would be posted in a developer-centered resource with an aim to make a FSDG-compliant FlatHub self-hosted replacement, then I think it would be more fitting, see: https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/is-ever-good-use-nonfree-program.html .

Which was my point when we had the prior discussion in 2023 - flatpak is useless without the runtimes from flathub, and flathub promotes non-free software, so why does a fully free distro have flatpak in its repos? Glad to see you are coming around to my way of thinking at long last @ADFENO
